Osteria Ca' del Vento: Reviews & Ratings
One of the best in Venice, felt like home even the foods looks fancy, tastes like mom’s cooking. Well done, definitely would come back. We are very satisfied on our last few hours in Venice
Very friendly wait staff. The food here is delicious and freshly prepared. I wanted to try squid ink pasta but it was not on the menu. Our waiter had it specially made and prepared.
Food was delicious. We love the tiramisu, seafood pasta. Friendly and warm ambience with attentive service. Recommend to call and book ahead of time.
Terrific! I love everything about this place. It was just near our Airbnb. we saw it on Google Maps and decided to try it. Oh boy, we were amazed! The food was absolutely delicious, the service was fantastic, and the tiramisu… truly heaven-sent. I’ve never had such a wonderful dining experience anywhere else. If you’re visiting Venice, don’t miss this place!
This place is charming indeed, and the staff is friendly. However, I wouldn’t say they were attentive enough: they didn’t provide a wine list initially and we had to ask twice for the check. After reading other reviews, I realized I made a mistake by ordering pasta. I chose the octopus pasta — a highly disappointing experience. The sauce was simply bad, with a strange mix of ingredients that didn’t work together. My husband wasn’t as disappointed with the taste of his pasta, but he wasn’t satisfied with the portion size compared to other restaurants in Venice. So, I’d still suggest this place, as long as you don’t order pasta.
The food was absolutely immaculate, the ingredients were incredibly fresh, and every dish was seasoned to perfection. You could really taste the love and attention in every bite. From the moment we walked in, the service was exceptional. The staff greeted us with such warmth and friendliness that it instantly made us feel at ease, like we were being welcomed into someone’s home. They were attentive without being intrusive, always ready with a smile or a recommendation. The vibe of the place was effortlessly charming with just the right touch of intimacy that made the whole experience unforgettable. I would 100% recommend this hidden gem in Venice to anyone looking for an authentic and heartwarming culinary experience.
Small family-run restaurant near port. I was a bit afraid since some of the reviews talked about arrogant owner but I was pleasantly surprised! Both owner and all the staff were super-nice people. Obviously locals as tons of people stopped to say hi and they were hugging them etc. Always caring, always smiling. We were sitting outside for lunch and it was awesome experience. We had full lunch (shared appetizer- octopus; asparagus gnocchi; fried seafood; creme brule; limoncello cream and 2 glasses of wine and water) for 2 people coming to 100 euro. The food was amazing! Everything surprised us with how good it was!
This intimate family-run osteria is a gem in quiet Dorsoduro. The staff are wonderful, and the food is memorable. Traditional Venetian food prepared by the mother in the kitchen. A beautiful menu with seasonal ingredients, homemade pasta, and fresh fish and shellfish. A concise wine list with great local selections. We ate here twice in a week. Be sure to make a reservation ahead. Tutto era delizioso. Grazie e a presto!
